Thanks for the ideas. A busy mind on a rainy day is almost as good as a busy body. I found this with Lea while keeping her "inactive" after surgery. We worked on roll over, stays and rear end awareness on stairs.
Jennifer,
I had to think of things to do with the little Bean today! Try this one...combine "it's your choice" with crate games. After a few crate games I put some cookies on the floor a few feet to the side of the crate, then released and called her name (her recall cue) but was near enough to intervene if necessary. She of course got more cookies from me for by passing those on the floor. It was difficult (she moved slow) but she survived so I added more along my path. It was kind of fun and when we had finished our games which included rear end awareness and back up, she had a good long nap! Tomorrow I'll have to bring the board up from the barn....
Sydney,
I'll give that a try tomorrow. She is getting good at "it's your choice" and it will help her crate behavior and come when called.
Jennifer
