Weekend Report

Rain managed to stay away from the trials this weekend although the wind and cold remained. I think everyone was surprised to find the sun out today!

We've heard from most who attended the agility trial. On the whole handlers were pleased with their dog's performances. Some q's, some not, but I think everyone went away knowing where work/practice needs to be done. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll have time to practice before the Davis weekend.

Several went to obedience/rally trials on Sunday. Christy and Zorro came away with two blue ribbons in advanced! - Congratulations.

See everyone on Sunday.

Zorro had fun doing rally Sunday, but we have 1 tiny correction. Both ribbons were blue, but we completed our RA in the AM so we bravely moved up to excellent for the afternoon trial and dang if Zorro didn't get a 99 for his first RE leg! He made it look easy!

Sorry, Christy. I keep thinking advanced IS the top class. They should have called it open as they do in the other events! That is a big brag to score so well with a move up!

Sue,
Congratulations yourself on Indy's CPE 1st place. Is that his first leg?

Oh, man, was it cold and windy both days in both towns. Sounds like the agility crowd did well this weekend. Congratulations on Indy's leg and first place! I did get to see Zorro do his thing in agility and rally this weekend, that was fun. Good job on the scores and placements to Christy and Zorro. Magnum earned two legs in Versatility class in Petaluma this weekend (one more to go to be one of the first dogs to title in a new titling non-regular class we hope). He scored a 191.5 and a 194out of a possible 200 for a second and third place. The versatility class has a card from six, chosen at the beginning of the class. There are two exercises from all three classes on the card to perform, two Novice, two Open and Two Utility and you don't know till you get to the ring what your dog will have to do.
Merlot did a credible job in Graduate Open both times, no legs, but that's ok, she was a happy performer and improved the second time around.
