Our first agility dogs.

This photo is real!
Zuni jumped through the wreath AND over Kiwi AND Kiwi didn't move!

Peanut and Sue attended their first agility trial over the weekend. Sue found out she had a social butterfly at her feet! Peanut visited the pole setter, workers at the table and the dogs in line. She completed all 4 tunnels correctly! Unfortunately the clock ran out before she got to the last three obstacles. Peanut obviously enjoyed her self and it sounds like Sue did to.

What a cutie. It is all about having fun and it sounds like Peanut made the most of the day.

Aww, how cute! Sounds like Peanut had fun.

Who'da thunk it??? She is such a charmer I am sure everyone loved it - and as long as you had fun too that is the best part. Gooooo Peanut!!!

The Zuni and Kiwi photo is wild. Kiwi was very trusting. The wreath idea is really cool.

Jennifer, The dogs had never gone through a "wreath" or over another dog. We had no idea what would happen. This was set up at a trial and it was the first take! It's one of my favorites and comes out every Christmas in a frame.

When and why did you and Donna decide to do agility? Were these two dogs started in agility to begin with or started in another performance venue and then move to agility? Love the photo.

Both dogs began as "obedience" dogs. In late 1995 we began Agility as something "fun" to do with them. In the spring of 1996 they both earned Novice Obedience titles in AKC and UKC. That year they also earned Novice and Open Agility titles. There was no JWW in those days.

Although we were hooked on agility they both completed Open Obedience titles in 1998. That year we also had a new generation earning agility titles. Coffee and Ube are our 5th generation of agility dogs.

Helen Marie,
I love the photo with you and the three Ms!

Thank you, Jennifer. Hanging on for deal life to the Mindy Moo - she hated cameras and was really climbing into my lap to get away! Of course Magnum is just laughing at all the antics and Merlot has her "Wiley Coyote" look on - the one that he has just before the anvil falls on his head!

WOW, Sydney and Donna - 5th generation agility dogs. How cool.

THAT is too cute! What a Passel of Pups! Santa is pretty cute too.

These are so great! I hope others are getting to enjoy them too, just not commenting. I love the Berners - again, like the Shar Pei, what a bunch of pups! Love Mike's buddy curled up in the train track, too cute.

Busy with Pup Pee Time...but have to look at Christmas photos every day. I love the one of Indy and his Santa hat EXCEPT that his beard slipped!!!
Striker is under the big CostCo pillow in the office - I think upsidedown, growling puppy growls!

HM,
What were you holding that they are so intent on? Must have been a bird! Great photo.

HelenMarie said...

Sydney,
The M's are "pocket dogs" so you know it was a Charlee Bear or something similar.

The photos have been such fun. Donna's dogs with Santa is great - but then they all have been really wonderful. What a collection.

EJ and Kiwi - too cute. Wanna another puppy?

HelenMarie said...

Awwww, Cricket looks so elegant. And there really IS a little dog in the house of Berners! Nice to see Sizzle.

I am enjoying all the photos. Thanks for doing this daily!

Kerry is sooooo cute. My laugh for the day. He doesn't look like that now, he is so put together, but what a silly puppy!

Jennifer Burns said...

That Striker is really growing up. Can't wait to see him.
I love Cricket puppy picture with Santa.

Derby and Zuni, what a pair. Are they related? They would have made a great "brace" team.

Sydney said...

Derby and Zuni were brother and sister a couple years apart.

The day after Christmas and the pups are all exhausted from company (me too!). Hope everyone had a wonderful day. So pleased to check the blog and see that we STILL have Christmas photos. How nice the ones with the decorated tire. These have been so fun!
