It was a Cold and Windy Weekend!

But the rain stayed away!

Echo and I had just plain fun on Saturday stretching our legs. Sunday we were more in sync and started the day by earning our Open Fast title with a 2nd place. Our Standard run was very pretty except the dw contact to weaves. Besides the ribbons, I also came away with some nice photos from Mt. Diablo and Vallejo's trials.
Be sure to purchase photos of your dog. Once your dog is no longer with you, you will wish you had more photos to remember your times together. The ribbons won't mean that much anymore.

Saturday I ran Inc in Standard for Donna. If he hadn't run by the A-frame looking for "mom" we would have had a clean run! Sunday he ran with me in Fast but then decided he'd rather be Donna's dog.

Kerry, Magnum, Merlot and Riley were also at the trial. Their handlers can comment on their runs, but I have it on good authority that Kerry earned his first leg in JWW!

HM here with the three M's. Well two running M's anyhow.
Merlot had a really good time on Saturday running VERY FAST in the cold, damp morning. Her Opem Standard run was nice and fast and we would have Q'd if she had stayed in the weaves, but I was pleased, very please with her speed and enthusiasm. She was not quite as full of the devil in Excellent Jumpers but again had we finished the weaves (she did her "let's see who was here earlier" sniffs) we would have qualified there too. Ah the would ofs, could ofs and should ofs.
Magnum took the Excellent Jumpers class of about 18 obstacles and turned it into a 25 obstacle course, it was quite convoluted and I was pleased that he did do the hard parts when he returned from his off course runs. With all the extra jumps he was only 3 seconds over time. But he had a blast and I think the crowd enjoyed his show too.
Our Excellent Standard run didn't get too far - and I hope we can practice the really tough part at class since we didn't get to do it. Magnum did the tire and the first jump, seemed to hit the A-frame on the up really hard and came down the other side funny, doing an odd donut at the bottom and then off to the next jump before the weaves. As he landed he slipped and came up limping. Well, that was the end of it for us. Magnum is fine now, and was Saturday night, but becasue of his accident and that my knee was starting to give me fits we decided not to come on Sunday. There are some great photos from both trials to order, but I haven't done that yet.
Congratulations to Kerry on another leg!!! And Sydney and Echo for their title and placement.

Hope you all know that you can order your photos directly from Reg and not pay the website. Just e-mail him the #'s written under the photos and if you want to pick them up at a trial or have them mailed to you.

My first run of the weekend was the best run. We qualified with a score of 95 in jumpers with weaves. The video is on my blog. I will send invites to whoever I have a email address for.
